“I make music that comes from within my own heart. It’s just an added bonus when you have people enjoying the music that came from your soul.” – Saladin

My name is Lary Saladin, better known as Saladin and as Dirty Lary. I am based out of Chicago and I am an Electronic music producer and DJ. I grew up to the sounds of 80’s New Wave, Italo-Disco, House and Guns N’ Roses.

I began my career in the music industry at the age of 17 writing lyrics for other artist and eventually became a vocalist myself. This led to live performances and DJ gigs in multiple U.S. cities. I’ve had the opportunity to share the stage with Rob Base & DJ E-Z Rock, Who Da Funk, Delta 9, Hyperactive, Paul Johnson, D-Unity and other great artists.

My original production ranges from hard-driven and dark techno, deep progressive to future house and electro. I am no stranger to the multiple sub-genres of EDM music. I am influenced heavily by the sounds of 80’s new wave and I credit my passion and musical pursuit to many influences including: Giorgio Moroder, Prince, Depeche Mode, Maceo Plex, New Order and Kavinsky to name a few. I love adding different influences to my production to make it modern and cutting edge with a twist of older flavors.

I have had over 100 releases over the years on multiple record labels world wide. I have worked with multiple vocalists worldwide, including recent projects with Eia, a pop vocalists from Brunei and renowned EDM vocalist, Christina Novelli. Other new projects include working with vocalists such as: Kristin Kalliope, as well as Milana May. After many years of working hand-in-hand with multiple record labels, in 2012 I decided to launch my own record label, Phunk Junk Records and eventually in 2016 another label, KRUNCH. My labels have been supported by big names including: Laidback Luke, Gina Turner, Paul Van Dyk, Dr. Motte and Cari Lekebusch.

As far as my career as a DJ, I have been blessed with the opportunity to play gigs all over my hometown as well as multiple cities in the midwest area of the USA. Top nights clubs and events such as: Spybar, Porn N’ Chicken (at Evil Olive), Annex and many more. I have been featured and supported by multiple magazines and blogs including: DJ Mag (USA Edition), 5 Magazine, Iconic Underground Magazine, EDM Sauce, EDM Nation, The Chicago Insider, 312 Audio, Behind The Decks and Only The Beat.

My current goal is to keep up to date with this craft and help strive be a pioneer in the modern dance music scene and underground. I strive to make unique music that not only rattle the nightclubs but glide across the radio airwaves. Going forward, I am constantly working on modern music infused with an old school influence.
